My hair has always been soft and fine. I’ve dealt with an itchy scalp and thinner hair as I age. I’ve tried many different hair oils that just don’t work well with my hair. My curls are lightweight and never respond well to most oils. In 2023 found out that I have “low porosity hair”. This means light oils work best for my hair type.

Light oils heal my scalp allowing room for healthy hair growth and doesn’t weigh my hair down in the process. To avoid having to buy and try more and more oils, I decided to research different oils and the ingredients in them to see which ones would work best for different hair types. In the process I started making my own oils and that’s when Jungle Girl hair oils was created!
